Food Truck Hopefuls Hit The Highway For Third Season Of The Great Food Truck Race
The love for good food is universal and every heart craves for it. Wherever you go, finding passionate foodies is no big task. And this doesn’t include eating only. Cooking delicious food is also the dimension I would like to talk about. Here is the chance for those chefs with some special culinary skills who have aspired to run their own food business for long, but couldn’t do so till date due to financial or other reasons. The Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race is back with the bang for its 3rd Season with the host chef Tyler Florence.
But there’s a major difference in the concept this year as compared to its previous seasons. Instead of allowing the entrants who have already been operating the food trucks, this season will see some fresh blood, the chefs who have been dying to own and operate one, but never got an opportunity. United States is going to witness some mind-boggling culinary skills coming together with boundless dreams.
The challenges will also be tougher and the team with unique ‘personality’ and eclectic menu shall make it to the top. Each team will comprise of 3 members. There will be 8 teams competing amongst themselves for the cash prize of USD 50,000 and the food truck itself, a good enough prize for them to realize their dreams for running a food truck business. The race will commence from the Long Beach (California Lighthouse) and will take the route towards its final destination at West Quoddy Lighthouse in Maine, US.
The premier of the 7-episode show will air on 19th August (Sunday) right after the final episode of ‘Chopped: Grill Masters’ i.e. 10pm. From the following week, the series will be shown during the regular time slots at 9pm ET/PT.
Bob Tuschman, General Manager and Senior Vice President of the Food Network stated that the low costs and endless creative path involved in the food trucks makes it a most viable route to enter into the world of food business.
The culinary skills and entrepreneurial spirits of the aspiring contestants will be put on test when only the best will conquer the road and go home with a food truck.
