Maine
A love poem
When we are apart I long for you.
Your sky, water, sand and breeze.
Maine...will we ever be together again?
P.S. I hate your mosquitoes but I can overlook all that.
Ok...that was a terrible poem but on this unbearably hot day in the Boston area all I can think of is Maine. I should be sitting on a beach right now! Sigh. Maybe next summer.
This week is too hot for food blogging. Of course we'll be eating (mostly cold foods) but I don't think I'll be squeezing in too much writing. I also have a very important birthday to prepare for. Have you ever made a birthday crown? I haven't...yet.

oh dear. i have a love affair with maine. or maybe it's more like voyeurism. or stalking. well, whatever it is, it's done with passion.
i love your poem.
i hope to be there again one day soon. especially after 50 days of temps above 100 degrees. i have no idea how i got here. but i'm planning my escape.
Oh Maine, we love you, but not the Hampton traffic that backs up to Kittery.
It was unbearably hot and now we have pea soup fog. I can cook again without sweltering!
What is a birthday crown? A crepe paper crown like you get in crackers at Christmas? They don't sound difficult...
I hear ya...all I can think about these days is throwing the cats in the car and driving back to Maine! After a 105 degree day here in Texas, then to have my dad call and say it was the hottest day all summer (82) I can barely stand it anymore!
