Summer

scallions

Perhaps a very underrated vegetable. Is is a vegetable? Or an herb? Or perhaps something else entirely.

~~~
corn rows
Corn, corn and more corn.
~~~

meadow at habitat

Hikes, picnics, ponds...turtles, frogs, tadpoles...meadows, gardens, butterflies...mud, water, sand.

~~~
cherry tomatoes
When I should be so happy about all the fresh, local produce I actually start to feel sad that it only lasts a few months.
Lovely photos--I found your blog through homeschool style bytes. My blog was originally about cooking with the kids, but we are in a non-cooking phase right now. We harvested honey recently but I would feel guilty claiming any credit there. The girls and the hives get it all. I did make jam yesterday at a friend's house and then instead of cooking dinner we had yogurt and jam and peanut butter and jam sandwiches and jam off a spoon. I'm going to look at your recipes and get inspired.
